Brief Information

Stephen Muathe has a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Management and with over 15 years’ experience working in higher education Institutions. He has a professional training on Gender in Science, Technology and Innovation, Applied Entrepreneurship Education Programme (AEEP) Train The Trainers- Certified AEEP Trainer and Design thinking for Innovation. He has consulted and received grants from various organizations such as the Sustainable Inclusive Business/Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Innovation for Poverty Action (IPA), World Bank, NRF Kenya and The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) among others. His research interest is on Financial Inclusion, Sustainability in MSMEs, Gender in MSMEs & e-commerce. He is a full member of the Kenya Institute of Management. Recently Muathe with team of other researchers in the University won a grant on Initiative Of What Works for Women Economic Empowerment (IWWWEE) funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for five years.
